Your Computer, Computers Place In Society and Advancement of Technology
Some technology advancements in society aren't always acceptable to everyone but the changes are happening whether we like it or not.
We strive for better, faster, cheaper, bigger and greater. The personal computer, computers in business and satellite technology have evolved to make this advancement possible.
From this we have learned that nothing is impossible. Few people imagined that you could bank with France, book a flight to China, video chat with people in Australia, send reports to a business in England all with a click of a button, all within seconds.
Most phones you see today offer the same applications and software of your at home computer. This has made it easier for business owners to travel but still operate their business from anywhere. They can make calls to clients, email their staff, create presentations, graph their progress and operate from any place in the world as if they were home in their office.
Another place we find an unexpected computer, computers in advanced GPS systems are becoming more and more popular. Not only do the navigation systems offer turn by turn direction, it also can tell you where the closest local pizzeria is located, what gas station has the lowest price per gallon and even notify you of near by accidents so you can avoid traffic delays or becoming involved.
Schools have been able to take children on virtual tours of the world instead of just letting the children read about them in books. Computers and the Internet allow students to take classes in America but live in another country.
Another change in society is shopping. When you shop at a single store, you are forced to accept that stores best deal or travel elsewhere in hopes to find it cheaper.
Society will pay for convenience. Society will pay to make life more efficient. The advances in technology have changed the usage of the personal computer, computers in the office and computers in the devices we use.
It's hard to imagine life without a computer, computers have almost become a need rather than a commodity. They have been business builders, teaching aids and information sources for all ages. Overall, computers have helped society reach new heights.
