Having trouble with blue screen of death in windows

Is your computer affected with the problem of Blue Screen of Death? This problem does not occur much in the Windows XP operating system, but still there are chances that it may happen which is a headache to face. It may help rebooting the computer, but it does not guarantee the non occurrence of Blue Screen of Death in the future. It is a very tiresome job to deal with the problem of Blue Screen of Death.

Do you know what the blue Screen of Death is? It is always better if you keep in mind what this is. By looking at the name alone, one feels that the problem must be so horrible that the only way out to get rid of this problem is disposing off the computer in garbage. But this problem is not that terrible as you may think.

The blue screen of death is actually only a windows stop message. This happens when windows run into a problem and it can't get to the windows screen any longer without some action being taken. In Windows XP these blue screens are numbered which helps when trying to troubleshoot the problem that's why it's important to write down the numbers that appear from one that keeps recurring on you.

If you happen to get a blue screen and the computer won't reboot try taking it into safe mode by pressing F8 when booting. If your computer goes into safe mode then it is probable problems with software or device drivers that are the culprit. Try rebooting your computer and press F8 again, this time instead of choosing safe mode, choose last known good configuration. This may get you back into windows. If it does, then you should download a registry fix utilities program, run it and fix any problems you might have with the registry.

If you continue facing the Blue Screen of Death, and you have installed a new software or hardware in the computer, then see to it if you can remove the software or the hardware device driver, which you could install again later on.

In case the Blue Screen of Death still continues to appear, then the hardware is at fault. You must call a service technician in such a case, as it could be anything related to the hardware. It may be loose power supply, Ram memory, or disturbed motherboard.

Remember to write down the code number of the blue screen as that number will better be able to help the repair person diagnose the cause of the blue screen.

Blue Screens were most frequent in Windows 95 and Windows 98, and are not so frequent in other windows, but when they occur, it is a real tiresome experience. Luckily, there is a solution to the erroneous Blue Screen of Death which saves the effort of buying a new computer.
